At 18, Poppie Taylor is one of New Zealand's most accomplished young tap dancers, having won her first international title in Australia at just eight years old. In 2025 she represented New Zealand at the IDO World Tap Dance Championships, placing 17th in the world, and won the 1st Place Senior Tap Scholarship at the New Zealand Dance Awards. She is a PACANZ National Young Performer semi-finalist with nominations in both Tap and Modern Dance, and earned a full scholarship to the Sydney Tap Festival. This Grant supports her selection as a soloist, Team New Zealand member, choreography and team ambassador at the 2026 IDO World Tap Dance Championships in Prague.
